Mohamed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders to host Awards for Small & Medium Enterprises

Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders will host for the second year the 'Mohammed Bin Rashid Awards for Young Business Leaders' on Tuesday, April 5, 2005.
H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment said, "Since the launch of the Establishment under the directives of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence, Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment has been committed to enabling the UAE national youth to participate in the growth of the various business sectors. This is accomplished not only by giving them an opportunity to set up their own business projects but also by creating new concepts in the business field and promoting creativity and excellence."
H.H pointed out that this year new categories have been added to the awards such as the Best Arab Start-up Business and Best Business Leaders Award (Male and Female). These new categories were added to encourage creativity of Arab youth and will encompass entries from not just the UAE but from the Pan Arab region.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said that the award was intended as an added incentive for the small and medium enterprises to excel in different sectors. He said, "In today's world of severe competition to be distinguished is the only way to excel for countries, enterprises as well as individuals. We are proud of the success that the projects registered under the Establishment have accomplished, and look forward to these projects fulfilling ambitious targets in the future."
Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO of Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment said, "This award is an ideal way for the Establishment to recognize some of the outstanding business projects run by young entrepreneurs. This year, the award has received more than 250 applications from all around the UAE and the Arab world, all of which are competing for recognition. These outstanding projects were carefully evaluated by the judging committee."
The 'Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders' will be awarded in the following categories: Best Arab Start-Up Business of the Year 2005 (Female / Male); Best Business Leaders Award (Male & Female); Best Manufacturing Business; Best IT Business; Best Tourism Business; Best Health & Well-Care Business; Best Service Business Award; Best Marketing and Promotion Business; Best Consulting & Professional Business; Best Education Business; Best Design Business; Best Retail Business and Best Facility & Real Estate Management Business
Special Awards will be presented under the following categories: Government Agency that contributed the most to the procurement program; Private Business that contributed the most to the procurement program; Best University / College in entrepreneurial education; Best Service Provider; Lifetime Achievement; Best Young Entrepreneur Competition (High School Students).
