Midas launches 'Midas Scholarship for Outstanding Students'

The scholarship program will involve Jordanian students demonstrating exceptional work ethic and skills. Students awarded the scholarship will receive a full grant for their university education provided that they confine to the standards of the scholarship.

Mr. Raja Khoury, Midas's Chief Executive Officer, elaborated that "the process of which the scholarship for 2005-2006 will be administered has been carefully studied and examined in-depth." The company's offer derives from their understanding of student's needs from past experiences.

Mr. Khoury added that "the development of the scholarship program appeared after the success of awarding a single distinguished student last year. The student presented strong skills and graduated with honors while her tuition and transportation was fully funded by Midas." The success of the student encouraged Midas to expand their philanthropy and further develop their scholarship program.

Midas is taking part in community relations by promoting education and raising the standard of corporate social responsibility throughout Jordan's private industries. Midas's scholarship program is part of the company's 2005 marketing plan, "The Year of Effectiveness."
