"However, the long-lasting success of KV will be determined by the ongoing satisfaction of our students, their parents and our universities. With this in mind we will be announcing a major expansion to provide a total, enjoyable, and memorable college life experience".

Dubai Knowledge Village's pavilion has been specially designed to promote networking and education opportunities for its students and universities. The pavilion, designed in the architectural style of the KV campus, will feature a central display area, exhibiting KV's existing and new projects. In addition, it will feature an area for presentations to be staged both by KV and its Partners and a 'chill-out zone' for students.

"Dubai Knowledge Village's mission is to create better education opportunities for regional students," said Dr Abdulla Al Karam CEO Dubai Knowledge Village. "Our participation in GETEX is to provide regional learners, who maybe visiting the exhibition to decide on a higher education institute, an alternative to studying overseas by providing quality international university education regionally."

KV is home to regional branches of 15 prominent international universities, 109 professional training institutes and 54 human resource training centres and 89 learning support entities.

Over the past year Dubai Knowledge Village has established itself as a destination for overseas study, in addition to nurturing home grown talent. Over 30% of its student population this academic year have come outside of the UAE.

"Students are travelling to KV to study from all over the region, from places such as Middle East, North Africa, the Asian Subcontinent, Iran, CIS, China and occasionally Europe and Australia," said Dr Al Karam. "As our student population grows and diversifies it is our duty to introduce more value-added services. That is why we are announcing important initiatives to enhance the KV education experience and provide other career support."

Drawn from all over the region, KV's international students, after they graduate, will strengthen Dubai's knowledge-based talent pool.

Representatives of the KV student community will also participate in GETEX. In events organised by the Department of Student Services and Programs (DSSP), the students will stage a variety of performances in the presentation area of the KV pavilion.
