Calyon Bank Egypt formed

Egypt's Central Bank and Ministry of Investment have approved a merger between the Egyptian branches of Crédit Agricole Indosuez SAE and Crédit Lyonnais. The new bank, Calyon Bank Egypt SAE, is 75 per cent owned by Calyon, 23 per cent by Mansour and El Maghrabi Investment and Development Group and around 2 per cent by various Egyptian investors.
