Almasa IT Distribution - 3C Group Division, one of the leading computer, communications and consumer electronics distribution specialists in the Middle East, today announced that it has signed a deal with Foxconn.
Due to the agreement, Almasa IT Distribution is now the exclusive distributor for Foxconn for the whole of the MENA region, (excluding for Saudi Arabia). Almasa will be targeting 20% market share in Iran in the first year, with a view to increase market share in 2006.
Ebrahim Kojouri, Deputy Managing Director for Almasa IT Distribution said, "Almasa already has a solid and long standing relationship with Foxconn and is looking forward to introducing them to Iran, where Almasa is an increasingly strong player. Almasa will work alongside Foxconn to help them build their brand in Iran, and offer our existing channel the best in terms of Foxconn combined product quality and cost competitiveness. The deal that we have signed will complement our existing portfolio."
Almasa will be providing a full support package for Foxconn which will include RMA, Marketing and training on the product range, as well as 3 years warranty swap over to end users.
David Shih, Managing Director, Foxconn-ME stated, "After singing a distribution deal with Almasa IT Distribution for most of the MENA region last month, Foxconn wanted to push the relationship forward again by announcing Almasa as the exclusive distributor for Iran. With Foxconn being an industry leader in manufacturing, it is crucial we have an established and productive channel in place. Almasa IT Distribution has proved it is a leader and like Foxconn takes its service very seriously. Almasa were our number one choice, once again".
