The event marks the global and Middle East launch of the Corentin Quideau Collection.
The exclusive exhibits of jewellery set in diamonds and a variety of precious stones including emerald, ruby and pink sapphires together with natural pearls give a first hand insight into the creativity and expertise of leading French designers and precious stone-cutters in Europe. The range of jewellery that is on display at the exhibition includes bracelets, earrings, pendants, brooches and rings in different shapes, sizes and themes.
The 'Corentin Quideau Exhibition' is being held at Salon Hall in the luxurious The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Quideau, a 53-year old master strategist and marketing specialist, who has introduced his own designer label in the international jewellery scene, will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the exquisite pieces to the Rashid Paediatric Centre in Dubai.
Mr. Quideau said: 'I am honoured to be in a place like Dubai because it is providing a platform for artists, artisans and talented people from all over the world to showcase their special skills. I also chose Dubai for my Middle East launch because it is an exciting meeting point for people from the East and West and the hub of excellence and innovation in this region'.
'The range of jewellery in my collection is the kind of accessories that will easily blend with haute couture fashion. The spirit of the Corentin Quideau designer label is the passion for discovery, excellence, originality in style and extravagance. I design for the woman who thinks, admires the antique and adores the contemporary. Today, women long for a more intimate and subjective relationship with her jewellery. My collection is based on this close relationship between a woman and her jewellery'.
The Corentin Quideau Collection features a range of jewellery developed by the most exclusive and exceptionally talented team of designers and manufacturing workshops. The beautiful collection is being displayed under different themes including Contemporary Fine Jewellery, Pearls and Coloured Stones and Fauna and Flora. Prices range from $10,000 to $ 6,000,000.
A necklace with pear-shaped diamonds worth just over $ 4 million, a pair of earring with pear-shaped Burmese rubies worth over $ 1.7 million and $ 1.3 million worth of emeralds are among the jewellery that have gone on display at the exhibition. There are also sets of multicoloured jewels depicting fauna and flora including a chameleon brooch and the natural environment. A radiant diamond ring costs $ 1.6 million.
Having started his career more than 20 years ago with one of the world's finest jewellers, Cartier, he has launched his own personal label after spending years advising leading brand names throughout the world. His distinct brand has brought forth innovative jewellery designs that are among the most prestigious and exclusive in the world. His desire to pleasantly surprise and reward the women who wear jewellery is evident in his special collection.
Mr. Philippe Robert, Director of Maxi Events said: 'We are delighted to have brought this fascinating collection to Dubai. This exhibition shows our commitment to provide residents and visitors to Dubai the opportunity to experience world-class events. The exhibits have the hallmark of authentic workmanship. The spectrum of jewellery on display is very wide and needs to be understood with its deep roots that show a rich tradition that has been maintained by the finest Parisian workshops and the best precious stone-cutters in Europe'.
