Standard Chartered appoints Emirates Post

Standard Chartered has appointed mail management specialists, Emirates Post, for the printing, enveloping and mailing of account statements and customer advices.
"We are pleased to mark a breakthrough in the banking sector, since it is the first time in the UAE that a bank has outsourced this activity", Mr Abdulla Al Daboos, Emirates Post's Director General said. "Most organizations are rapidly shifting towards concentrating more on their core business, and thus managing non-core activities through specialist contractors".
Andrew Duff, Standard Chartered's CEO in the UAE, said "We have contracted Emirates Post because their specialist field is mail management. Our relationship is seamless and secure . It allows Standard Chartered to devote more resources to our specialist field which is providing top quality financial services to our customers."
Emirates Post has recently developed a sophisticated Electronic Document Centre ( EDC) to manage printing, sorting and despatching documents on the client's behalf." Our plans are molded on the anvil of market requirements", Mr. Daboos noted. We are willing to serve our would-be clients in the UAE and the nearby markets, in view of being service provider on mail creation, processing and mail distribution requirement.
Mr Daboos pointed out that Emirates Post as a strategic partner is implementing strict security procedures at various levels to ensure client's data confidentiality, and hence providing services from our premises at the same standards maintained at client's in-house facilities.
The announcement follows the successful conclusion of a 6-week pilot during which all aspects of the process have been tested and reviewed to ensure their integrity and reliability.
Standard Chartered generates an average of roughly 5,000 letters every day.
