The sustainable development of desert regions will be discussed at a one-day conference on environment, culture and tourism, part of the 2nd Festival of the Cultures and Civilisations of World Deserts, in Dubai from 16-22 April. The aim is to come up with a charter for sustainable development, and examine the relationship between tourism and the environment.
