Juma Al Majid posts 92.7 per cent increase in Q1 sales for Hyundai in the UAE

Juma Al Majid, the exclusive distributor for Hyundai in the UAE revealed that it recorded 92.7 per cent growth in sales for its Hyundai vehicles in the first quarter of 2005 over the same period last year.
The last few years have been great years for the sales of South Korean cars in the country. Omar Baddar, Marketing Manager for Hyundai at Juma Al Majid said: "the company is looking forward to capture a bigger market share in the country in 2005. The results of the first quarter are a good indication for the 2005 overall performance and is definitely encouraging."
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Co. sold 583,463 vehicles on a worldwide basis during the first quarter of this year, showing a 18.7 percent growth from last year's.
Established in 1967, Hyundai Motor Co. has grown into the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group which includes over two dozen auto-related subsidiaries and affiliates. Employing over 50,000 people worldwide, Hyundai Motor posted US$26.1 billion in sales in 2004 (on a non-consolidated basis).
Hyundai motor vehicles are sold in 193 countries including the UAE through some 5000 dealerships and showrooms.
