Samsung delights audience with SGH-D500 phone

Samsung Electronics', global leader in digital technology, launch of its first digitally converged handset, the SGH-D500 mobile phone, received an overwhelming response from mobile phone enthusiasts in UAE.
The SGH-D500 phone is a multipurpose, 1.3-megapixel camera phone, offering 128-MB (96-MB user free) dynamic shared memory to support and expand a user's business capabilities. The phone can store megapixel images, capture 60 minutes of video, playback MP3 or AAC songs or record up to 6 hours of voice.
"With its sleek finish, high quality design and advanced functionalities, the SGH-D500, we believe, will become the mobile phone of choice for those seeking a handset which provides rich business features and can simultaneously complement a user's distinct personality. Furthermore, the phone is also equipped with blue-tooth to create the freedom to work whenever and wherever a business need arise," said Mr. Steve Han, Senior Manager - Telecommunications, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
The phone comes with variety of synchronization options such as Email Client, vCard and vCalendar for quick information transfer. It has advanced MMS, Java and GPRS capabilities, as well as, a USB interface and SyncML DS. In addition, the D500's Bluetooth technology provides users with the power of a Personal Area Network to immediately improve communication channels, increase productivity and make data sharing and synchronization easier.
At the 3GSM World Congress 2005 ceremony in Cannes, France, Samsung's SGH-D500 won the GSM Associations' prestigious 'Best Mobile Phone Handset' award. The SGH-D500 handset was chosen as the winner for its unrivalled excellence in handset design and innovation.
