- PRESS RELEASE
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Chairman of Dubai Municipality has issued a decree appointing Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, who was Assistant Director General for Roads and General Projects Affairs, as Deputy Director General of Dubai Municipality.
Al Tayer thanked Sheikh Hamdan for the confidence he placed in him by appointing him as the Deputy Director General of Dubai Municipality. He said: "I am grateful to the rulers for the trust they have in me. I consider the new tasks and responsibilities that would entail this appointment as an honour to me and they would give me an opportunity to serve the country and its people. At the same time, I consider this as a great challenge especially because Dubai Municipality is one of the largest government departments that provide a variety of civic services to the society."
