e-Learning awards marches to the beat of the drum
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, April 13 - 2005 at 09:53
- PRESS RELEASE
The end of the 2005 Middle East Learning Technologies Conference & Exhibition (MELT) was heralded by the sound of rhythmical African drumming played by the Dubai Drums and accompanied by delegates, sponsors, and exhibitors from some of the world's finest e-Learning companies.
Julie Anne, Managing Director of Dubai Drums said the drumming activity was designed to de-stress the audience after 2 full days of absorbing the latest products and trends in e-learning.
True to their promise Dubai Drums had all of the audience participating in syncopated African and South American rhythms after only 20 minutes.
The Awards
Following the closing ceremony many of the now de-stressed audience stayed for the Xpert Learning e-Learning Awards. Paul Gledhill, Director of Xpert Learning and host for the evening said "We hope this award ceremony is the start of something bigger and better for e-Learning in the Middle East. In recognizing these pioneers of e-learning in the region, we hope it will encourage companies and individuals to come forward and share best practice, experience and implementations of this newest learning methodology."
