- PRESS RELEASE
Cellucom, one of the premier distributors of mobile communications devices and accessories in the Middle East, has unveiled its major expansion plans for the GCC region, which includes new showrooms across Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. Once implemented, these plans will make Cellucom one of the fastest growing retail chains in the region.
"Cell phones have become synonymous with mobility, but we plan to widen the scope of this term through the inclusion of all the add-on devices that complement the advanced nature of today's business operations, such as Laptops, PDA's, Digital Cameras, MP3 players, Memory cards and various other items. Work stations are not restricted to an office building anymore and our expansion plans are in step with the current market trends," said Mr. Arun Nagar, Managing Director, Cellucom.
"Mobility will definitely be our core retail focus. As technology is progressing to allow greater mobility for customers, Cellucom has incorporated this into our strategy to expand horizontally into the mobile computing arena as well," he added.
The company recently opened its newest outlet at one of Dubai's most lavish shopping and leisure complexes, the Ibn Batuta Mall at The Gardens. Cellucom's Marketing Manager, Ganesh Iyer, also revealed plans to open an outlet at Sharjah's newest shopping mall, the Al Safeer, by June.
The company will shortly be announcing the opening of showrooms in other regional markets, including three outlets in Bahrain in April with more planned for KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the UAE in the near future.
Cellucom also plans to expand its outlets across Saudia Arabia, including Dammam, Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh by the end of May 2005.
"The core of our expansion strategy is the enhancement of services to our customers by increasing accessibility and providing a comprehensive range of products that meet all their requirements," added Nagar.
