Alshamel completes first semester of its online training program

The Alshamel-HumanSoft program, which kicked-off in October 2004, consists of 250 certified e-learning courses targeting all areas of business, including customer service, call center management, travel technology, sales and more. Staff members were awarded with certificates at a ceremony held in Kuwait on April 10 and 11, for successfully passing the assigned courses. Special awards were given to agents who had applied themselves to the e-learning initiative above and beyond Alshamel's expectations.

Tim Waddell, Special Projects Manager at Alshamel, commented, 'Alshamel is committed to investing in its great asset- its people. This initiative is not only a way to give back to our staff in terms of personal development, but it has also been a hugely effective way to ensure that they are among the most qualified and capable in the industry.'

Among the recipients who received special commendation was Shaikh Sulieman, who started at Alshamel as an office assistant in 1999 and is now a fully qualified member of the Alshamel SatoTravel Division.

'Through e-learning we have been able to seamlessly integrate tailor-made curricula to the work day of each member of the company, thereby benefiting the company at each level.'

The second semester of e-learning at Alshamel is scheduled to begin soon.
