TNT employees graduate from British Council English course

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the British Council and TNT, and marked the culmination of 144 hours of English language training.

Lucy Neill, Human Resources Officer at TNT, commented: "TNT specialises in a field where accurate communication is key to its success and development. Also, as an IiP (Investors In People) accredited company we are committed to developing our staff so that they can reach their full potential. We have always focused on the service that we provide to our customers and this year we have concentrated on enhancing the skills of our operational staff. This is why we turned to the British Council.

"Our choice turned out to be the right one," she continued, "as we found fully-qualified trainers and a comprehensive programme to improve oral and written communication inside and outside the classroom using modern teaching materials and methods."

Sonya Storey-Webb, Training Consultant at the British Council, stated: "The four 36-hour courses the TNT employees graduated from incorporated not only general English language training but also specific language forms the couriers and agents use in their fields. The British Council customised the course taking into consideration the language practised and needed in a business context.

"On behalf of the British Council, I would like to congratulate the graduates and wish them every success in their TNT careers."
