NCB Q1 profits rise

Saudi-based National Commercial Bank reported a Q1 2005 profit rise of 30.4% to $324.5m. The bank's net operating income grew by 35% to $337m while shareholder equity rose by 33% to $4.04bn. Customer deposits were up 8.3% to 27.59bn, while net loans and advances reached $17.62bn, a 33% increase over the same period last year.
