The engagement offered a small audience an exclusive opportunity to find out what this year's conference will offer, and an opportunity to ask the organizing committee specific questions about the event.
The engagement featured a panel of counseling experts from across a variety of industries. Gillian Johnston, Counseling Arabia Conference Co-Chair was on hand to speak about the conference and the counseling profession in the UAE. Rema Menon, Counseling Arabia Conference Treasurer and private practitioner spoke about the conference sponsors, vendors and workshops for those in private practice. Ali Shaher, a conference presenter spoke about counseling in the area of career development. Practitioner Sandra Willis discussed counseling for people with special needs, and Claire Smith-Victor, a counselor from Dubai Women's College spoke about school to work transitions for post-secondary students.
The engagement was a lead up to the upcoming, third annual Counseling Arabia Conference: Unity Through Diversity. The conference will provide workshops, professional development opportunities, seminars and speaking events appropriate for those working in a wide range of industries: personal and career counseling, educational social workers, academic advisors, human resources, organizational development, recruitment and professions working with people with special needs.

About Counseling Arabia:Now in its third year, Counseling Arabia is an annual event designed for professionals and students in counseling and counseling-related professions. This year the conference will be held at UAE University in Al Ain with pre-counseling workshops from April 30th to May 2nd and conference presentations to take place on May 3rd and 4th.
