Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai wins New York Festival by a dragon's head

TBWA\RAAD Middle East presented a leading industry award to Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai in recognition of its advertising campaign at The New York Advertising Festival (NYF 2004).

Further to TBWA\RAAD's 5th year anniversary, Chairman and CEO Mr Ramzi Raad said: "It is great news that the eye-catching 'Dragon' print campaign promoting the popular Cantonese restaurant Shang Palace at Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai was the Finalist Award Winner in the New York Festival's Design, Outdoor and Print Advertising category."

The account team included Creative Director Kristian Sumners and Art Director Nandu Otarkur.

Mr Raad said said: "For the first time in any international awards competition, entries were judged online by top creatives within the industry. It is very rewarding to note that TBWA\RAAD's work stood apart, and is equally pleasing that the campaign created such talk-of-the town interest in this stunning and unique restaurant under the famous Shangri-La brand."

TBWA\RAAD is a part of TBWA Worldwide network named Agency of the Year.

Mr Bernhard Haechler, General Manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai added:"Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai is proud to receive such an accolade and we thank TBWA\RAAD for creating an advertising campaign that perfectly reflects the culinary splendour of Shang Palace, one of our drawcard restaurants."
