IIR and AME Info confirm GCC Inward Investment Meet will go ahead

IIR Holdings Middle East and AMEInfo.com, the region's premier on-line business resource, have confirmed that the First Annual GCC Inward Investment Forum, planned for Dubai later this month will go ahead.
The three-day forum will run at the Dusit Dubai from October 27-29. It will be inaugurated by HH Prince Abdullah Bin Faisal Bin Turki Al Saud, Board Chairman and CEO of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), who will also deliver the opening address.
"The forum has an extremely powerful speaker line-up drawn from throughout the GCC states with international perspective being provided by speakers from the UK, Switzerland and Hong Kong," explained Cooper. "Speaker expertise cuts across a range of economically fundamental sectors, including utilities, energy, governmental, trade, media as well as banking and finance.
"All have been invited for their level of expertise and their ability to be able to direct and strategise future economic development."
Confirmed speakers include: the Chairman of KUFPEC, Ahmed Al Arbid; Mohammed Al Abbar, Director General, Department of Economic Development, Government of Dubai; Jamal Ali Al-Hazeem, CEO, Economic Development Board, Bahrain; Saeed bin Abdullah Al Misnad, CEO, Qatar National Bank and Mohammed Al Maroqui, Director of the Privatisation Department at Oman's Ministry of National Economy.
"Areas open for discussion span foreign investment opportunities in the region's real estate, energy and free trade zones," explained Cooper. "Country-specific case studies and strategies will also be outlined.
"We anticipate the forum being able to send firm messages to the international business community on the way to address global challenges which have emerged from the events of the past two weeks. What emerges from this event could now have far-reaching implications for businesses across the world," added Cooper.
