GS, Daewoo, Qatar gas contract

A consortium of South Korea-based GS Engineering and Construction and Daewoo Engineering and Construction has won a $600m bid to build a refinery plant for Qatar's Laffan refinery, according to company officials. Expected to be finished by 2008, the plant will produce 146,000 barrels of gas condensate a year.
