12,000 sign up for benefits-packed Nokia connections

The innovative program offers its benefits to all mobile phone users, not just those with Nokia phones. Signing up is easy on the Nokia Connections website after which participants will get a monthly newsletter delivered via e-mail or sent direct to their phone full of news on the newest Nokia phones and enhancements, as well as news on new software, useful how-to-do tips and announcements of upcoming Nokia music and party events.

The benefits of participating in Nokia Connections also extend to monthly draws to win Nokia phones and a grand prize draw to win a trip around the world worth US$50,000.

'We are excited by this multi-dimensional service which offers mobile phone users of all brands a new, richer way to stay connected with trends in the mobile world. We saw a need for a service that would connect the whole universe of phone users, and the initial customer response reinforces this conviction. Since the service launched March 24, more than 12,000 people have already signed up,' said Zsolt Ménesi, Senior Marketing Manager, Nokia MENA.

In May, Nokia is offering 10 prizes of the latest Nokia 3230s to new subscribers. In June, 10 Nokia 6680 3G-enabled handsets will be offered. The winner of the Grand Prize, a round-the-world holiday valued at US$50,000 will be announced in January 2006.
