The user will have superior sound in full duplex quality on his or her home phone when using the phone in the conventional way but also in the built-in hands-free function, allowing everyone in the house to listen in to a call together, or via the headset connection.

In addition, you can call 30 people hands-free using the voice dialing function. Conversely, if a call comes from one of these people, the Gigaset S440/S445 (with integrated answering machine) will announce it. It also has an extensive phone book, allowing storage of up to 200 entries, including extra data like birthdays. Keeping entries up-to-date is no longer a tedious job either. All the data can be regularly compared with the files on the PC using a data cable (available as an accessory).

If no one is at home, the built-in answering machine in the Gigaset S445 cordless phone will record messages for up to 25 minutes. Alternatively, the phone can be programmed to send a text message to a mobile informing of a missed call (network dependent). If not, on arriving home, the answering machine can be operated conveniently using voice commands - allowing freedom of movement, for example, to write down messages.
