CB&I deploys AVEVA's Materials Management Solution: VANTAGE Project Resource Management
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, April 23 - 2005 at 12:30
- PRESS RELEASE
AVEVA (LSE:AVV), a leading supplier of engineering IT systems for the process, power, and marine industries, recently announced that CB&I (NYSE: CBI), one of the world's leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, has signed a global license agreement to implement and deploy AVEVA's VANTAGEŽ Project Resource Management (VPRM).
"Today's complex EPC environment requires solutions that are fully scaleable and provides robust functionality to deliver effective materials management. AVEVA's VPRM can be easily interfaced and adapted to companies' workflow and disparate engineering systems," said Louay Dahmash, Regional Director, Middle East, AVEVA. "AVEVA has consistently demonstrated its thorough knowledge of and expertise in the engineering and construction industry making us the preferred partners for providing long term Engineering IT solutions and services for companies such as CB&I."
A key factor in CB&I's decision to implement the VPRM solution on a global scale was AVEVA's commitment to supporting on-going systems enhancements as well as providing a real-time interface to ERP purchasing and receiving modules from Oracle. CB&I conducted a detailed review of available materials management systems to seek a corporate materials management solution that would support its global project environment across multiple business operations, and integrate with its existing ERP and engineering solutions.
