The three day water, power and gas conference and exhibition - the first event in the region to combine all elements of the energy cycle - will be attended by celebrated speakers and participants from all over the world, including the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

MEE 2001 will be inaugurated by H.E. Humaid Bin Naser Al Owais, Minister of Electricity & Water, United Arab Emirates. Dr Hisham Khatib, Honorary Vice Chairman, World Energy Congress, Jordan, will give the keynote address, followed by a panel discussion with Mr Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, General Manager, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority; Mr Ghassan Ejjeh, President, International Desalination Association; Mr Ghanim Al Azdi, Project Manager of Dolphin, UAE Offsets Group, USA; and Eng. Hisham Omari, General Director, Jerusalem District Electricity Company.
The three day conference boasts contributions from more than 60 internationally- acknowledged industry leaders. On the exhibition floor, Ansaldo Energia, Abu Dhabi Electricity & Water Authority, Enelpower SA, Honeywell IAC and GE Power Systems are just five of 50 major international companies scheduled to unveil latest products and services to MEE 2001 visitors.
Middle East Energy 2001 brings the USA to Dubai
Middle East Energy (MEE) 2001 will go ahead as planned from 8-10 October 2001 at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai, it was confirmed today by event organizer PennWell.
