The NBAD Global Debt Securities Fund's underlying managers win Industry awards

Three underlying managers in National Bank of Abu Dhabi's Global Debt Securities Fund won top awards in their respective categories at the Global Investor's 10th Awards for Investment Excellence, recently held in London.
The three winning underlying managers were Ashmore Investment Management winning the emerging markets debt category for the second consecutive year, Western Asset Management winning the US Bonds category; and European Capital Management taking the honours for the European Bonds Category.
The evening ceremony was attended by 170 people, including asset managers, pension funds, investment consultants, industry associations, and press.
NBAD's Global Debt Securities Fund was launched in October 2004, and targets investors seeking to efficiently allocate capital to dedicated fixed-income strategies, diversified across sectors and asset classes. One of the key objectives of the fund includes the generation of attractive risk-adjusted returns together with the insulation of risks associated with a rising interest rate environment. The Fund is a globally diversified program investing across sub-sectors including US and European government and corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, high yield and emerging market debt.
NBAD's Indian Equities Fund which was launched about the same time as the Global Debt Securities Fund has also performed extremely well. The Indian Equities Fund is up over 20% since inception in October 2004.
