Avaya inducts EMEA business partners into first C-COM 2002 Academy
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, May 18 - 2002 at 10:19
- PRESS RELEASE
Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a leading provider of voice and data networks and applications to businesses, today held the first Avaya C-COM Academy, a training event focused on its new converged communications solutions portfolio for its business partners based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
On successful completion of the training, participants were awarded Avaya convergence accreditation to sell and install its Enterprise Class IP Solutions (ECLIPS) suite.
"The convergence market represents an important business opportunity for Avaya and its resellers, with distinct business benefits for customers," said Walter Koenig, Regional Vice President, Middle East, North Africa and South Eastern Europe, Avaya.
"By implementing converged solutions, a company can gain faster return on investment not only from its communications network but also its enterprise operations. "
Converged networks support vital, business-building applications - from IP telephony to collaborative videoconferencing to CRM - helping businesses become more efficient, effective and responsive to customers. Potentially, these benefits can directly impact an organisation's bottom line.
Anil Srivastava, Vice President Channel Management, EMEA, commented, "This is another initiative supporting Avaya's commitment to business partners that helps them become the primary route to market for the growing EMEA convergence business."
The event focused on technical specifications of Avaya's convergence offerings as well as tools required to sell solutions. The three-day training covered two main themes: 'How to sell Avaya's Converged Solutions' and 'The technical aspects of Avaya Converged Solutions'.
