First MICE Middle East Congress to be held in Abu Dhabi

Although Abu Dhabi has always attracted business travellers, the capitals' new developments such as Emirates Palace, Eithad Airlines and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority is further developing and promoting the Emirate as a top class MICE venue. MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions.

Over the 2 days of the event, 250 senior executives from major Middle Eastern and multinational corporations explored issues within the Middle Eastern Business Travel and Event Planning Industry including Misinformation through the media, Product Launching Strategies, The increasing demands of sponsors in the Middle East, Why Organise a Major Event?, Meeting Planning and Corporate Travel.

As well as the pre-scheduled one to one meetings with 40 leading solution providers such as hotels and resorts, professional conference organisers and destination management companies, there were opportunities to listen to speakers who are leaders in their industry and network with peers.
