The two-day event briefed customers on IBM's latest PC based solutions that offer unique manageability, security and wireless capabilities and address the changing needs of today's business PC user, specifically in the banking and education sector.

In light of the recent deal between Lenovo and IBM's Personal Computing Division, the event also shared details on Lenovo's strategy in the region and how the new computing company will support customers in Kuwait by providing them with innovative products and improved service opportunities through continued deployment of ThinkVantage Designs and Technologies.
Attendees also saw how the new company will combine the strengths of both IBM and Lenovo and how they will benefit from the unparalleled innovation and heritage of IBM, and the manufacturing efficiency and reach of Lenovo.

"IBM's ThinkVantage technologies offer several unique advantages to PC users in the business environment. The Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore helps users get back to business quickly by allowing them to recover from common problems such as software crashes, corruption on applications and viruses," said Imtiaz Ghani, regional manager of personal computing division, IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. "This event is a great opportunity for us to work closely with our customers in Kuwait and guide them in using the best PC solutions for their businesses and day to day activities."

The seminar highlighted IBM PC innovations designed to meet the growing needs of education and banking organisations deploying e-business solutions like wireless networking, advanced security and application management. IBM also demonstrated the new technologies in its re-designed line of ThinkCentre desktops and its latest range of the stylish ThinkPad notebooks, including the recently launched ThinkPad T43 notebook that comes with a biometric fingerprint reader. The notebook is equipped with a new layered approached to virus protection and the industry's most advanced mobility, security, data recovery and power management features.
