Zulekha Hospital officially inaugurated

Under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance & Industry, H.E. Qassim Sultan, Director-General of Dubai Municipality officially inaugurated the new Zulekha Hospital in Dubai on Sunday, 24th April.

The new hospital located at Al Nahda 2 is catering to the ever-growing needs and convenience of patients in both Dubai & Sharjah. This is the second hospital of the group, which has come a long way since its beginning as a small clinic in Sharjah. The Zulekha hospital, Sharjah is today one of the most well-known and trusted health establishments of the region. On its new venture Mr. Taher Shams, President of the Zulekha Healthcare group stated, 'Our goal is to provide excellent healthcare facilities under one roof and be committed to offering quality care at competent prices.' The new hospital has proved to be a boon for residents in areas of Qusais, Al Nahda and Mirdiff. It has had a very encouraging response since opening 6 months back.

The 75 bedded hospital features super-speciality departments such as Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology and Laparoscopy in addition to the speciality departments of General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Dermatology among others. Along with a highly competent team of doctors the hospital houses some of the most advanced facilities and equipments to ensure the best treatment.

'Ours will be a persistent effort to focus on enhancing the facilities for our patients', stated Ms. Zanubia Shams, CEO, Zulekha Healthcare Group. As part of the expansion programme in phase 2, the group plans to start a Cardiac Catheterization Lab in the hospital in Dubai. The group is also planning to have a new building for Zulekha hospital, Sharjah. 'We are going to have a LINEAC( linear accelerator for the proposed Cancer Centre )and a Fertility Centre (Assisted Reproductive Technique Centre )at our hospital in Sharjah', she added. The Group also has expansion plans in other emirates and GCC countries.

On the opening of the new hospital, Dr. Zulekha Daud, founder of the Zulekha Healthcare Group said, 'In Zulekha Hospital we try to treat the patients with concern, compassion and respect. When they visit us, we at all times do our best to provide them with advice, information and treatment which will allow our philosophy to come to life.' 'At Zulekha hospital, we strive to humanize and demystify the complexities of medical problems through patient education and a caring, thoughtful environment', she concluded.
