Saudi, US close to WTO deal

The US is close to reaching an agreement with Saudi Arabia on tariff cuts that the Kingdom needs to make to join the World Trade Organisation, according to a letter written by acting US Trade Representative Peter Allgeier, reported Al Jazeera. US and Saudi trade negotiators are working to finalise a bilateral deal on the terms ahead of Riyadh's entry into the WTO, an industry official said.
