Call for liberalised telecoms

The Middle East should liberalise its telecommunications industry and scrap monopolies according to MTC CEO of IT Dr Marwan Al Ahmadi at the Mena Mobile Forum in Dubai. He said that the mobile phone market in the Middle East is set be completely liberalised by the end of this year, with the exception of Qatar and the UAE, and regional governments need to demonstrate they are willing to adapt.
