Samsung sees great potential in Yemen

'Samsung Electronics, the world leader in digital technology foresees great potential in Yemen owing to the country's growing IT industry and is confident of strengthening its current market share with launch of new products,' said Mr. K.H.Koh, General Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics.

The company recently conducted a workshop for its distributors and resellers in Yemen to showcase the state-of-the-art technology the company has to offer.

"Samsung has been recognized consistently for bringing next-generation features and functionalities in today's IT products, such as our monitors, printers and hard disk drives. With the support of our partners in Yemen coupled with aggressive product innovation, we remain confident of stimulating rapid growth in the country's IT industry and further strengthen our leadership position," added Mr. Koh.

The TFT-LCD technology leader, recently unveiled its 17" model, SyncMaster 173P plus, rated as the most advanced liquid crystal display computer monitor in Middle East. This product will also be the available in Yemen. Winner of the world's most renowned design awards like iF Design, IDEA, Good Design, and Reddot, Samsung's 173P plus monitor offers a refined look and has been designed for button-less use except for the power button. Furthermore, the company's MagicTune software enables the mouse to control monitor settings.

"Samsung plans to lead the trends and ensure that our state-of-the-art products are the first to get to the Yemen market. With the forthcoming product launches we are confident of propelling the growth of the country's IT industry," concluded Mr. K.V. Narayanan, Sales Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
