Diners Club sponsors the 2005 What's On Awards

This year a record 170,000 votes were cast over three months by the UAE's dining public and What's On readers. The awards ceremony took place during a gala dinner at Dubai Media City, attended by almost 900 hospitality and entertainment industry representatives from various awards categories.

This year the Awards added three new categories creating a total of 31 awards. The new categories included Favourite Weekend Getaway Hotel in the UAE, Favourite Café or Independent Restaurant, and Best Newcomer.
