Pablosky opens at Ibn Battuta Mall

Commenting on the new store opening in Ibn Battuta Mall, Mr Rajagopala, brand manager of Pablosky stores said, "In order for a brand to grow in a market, you need to have presence". He continued, "Each of Dubai's malls has a slightly different customer base. We expect Ibn Battuta to be a success as it will attract a large catchment area of residents from The Gardens, Greens, Lakes etc, as well as visitors and tourists staying at the beach resorts and those coming from Abu Dhabi and the Middle East Countries by road. We want to be associated with that success. To be successful in business, as in life though, sometimes you have to take risks - the old saying speculate to accumulate remains as true today as ever".

New collections fall into the spring - summer and autumn - winter seasons and go from size 17 -41: from first steps up to 14-15 year olds. With the climate we enjoy in this region, our children are able to wear the fun colours (candies to pastels) virtually all year round, that makes buying new shoes even more fun. The UAE in particular is therefore able to offer a wider choice of colours and styles than might be found in Europe.

Pablosky give a few pointers in buying shoes for little ones: children should start to wear their first real, soled, shoes at the age of one but to be allowed to walk barefoot wherever possible.

Pablosky advises parents to look out for the following when buying shoes:

• The heel should be the right shape and hardness to provide good support

• A buckle, Velcro strap or laces above the instep allow for adjustments, comfort and support

• The front should be flexible so that with light pressure applied with one hand, it folds at 90°

• The instep must be made with very soft leather

• The sole must be light, flexible and non-slip for safety
