AME Info offers instant information access at Arabian Travel Market 2005
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, May 01 - 2005 at 12:43
- PRESS RELEASE
AME Info will unveil an expanded presence at this year's Arabian Travel Market (ATM), providing real-time information through a dedicated travel channel hosted on its portal, in addition to hosting an Internet Café, sponsored by HP, live on-site at the event.
"Travel and hospitality are among the region's fastest-growing sectors, with a rising number of companies looking to penetrate this market and introduce new services to the region," explained Klaus Lovgreen, CEO, AME Info.
"The number of new projects drawing tourists to the region, in addition to the number of recently-launched companies aiming to support Arab tourism around the world, means that there is a strong demand for up-to-date information, and AME Info is enhancing its service to cater to this need," added Lovgreen.
Globally, the Middle East is one of the rising stars of the tourism sector, with figures from the World Tourism Organization (WTO) showing that arrivals to the Middle East grew by 10.3 percent in 2003. As a global information resource, AME Info is rapidly developing a position as one of the primary news sources for companies looking for business insight into the region.
"The Internet Café was one of the most popular drop-in points at last year's Arabian Travel Market, partly because it provided the most immediate and detailed overview of activities at the busy event for journalists, industry insiders, and the visiting public. We also offered a calm oasis amid the frenetic backdrop of Arabian Travel Market, which many visitors appreciated," added Lovgreen. "We're anticipating a similarly positive response at this year's event."
AME Info currently carries more than 40,000 news articles, details of over 95 local events, as well as full contact and activity details of 183,399 companies from 14 countries around the region. With daily news updates categorized according to vertical markets, specialist commentary on the Middle East's financial markets and contributions from guest writers, AME Info offers a comprehensive analysis of business development and activities.
