A highly user-friendly entry-level camera phone, the K300i's superb price-performance ratio means everybody can now join the digital photo craze.

Gabriel Sjogren, Head of Marketing, Sony Ericsson Middle East and Africa announced the availability of the new camera phone saying, "Unlike conventional cameras, which you often don't have when you need them, you'll always have this mobile phone camera with you. It can be invaluable, for instance, to capture a child's first steps and share this precious moment with family and friends. Or to take a snapshot of the view from the balcony of a potential new flat to send to someone."

He continued: "People really do not have to be technical to use the K300i camera. The phone is held horizontally with both hands to take a picture, which turns the screen into a searcher. The 4x digital zoom gives good quality results even at a distance. Sony Ericsson's invention, QuickShare™, means video, image and text messages can be sent easily."

"The K300i also comes in handy as a personal video and photo album as the built-in 12 MB memory can store 120 10-second video clips or 500 VGA pictures. The 65K colour screen is excellent for displaying both stills and footage," he said.

The range of accessories available for the K300i is useful and impressive. The HCQ-30 Quick Install Carkit,, a handsfree tool for the car, is on offer for the first time in this price category. The K300i is available in colours Visual Blue and Smooth Silver.
