Annual BTME Awards honour the leaders in regional business travel and welcome celebrity guests

  • PRESS RELEASE

As the global travel industry shifts its focus to the Middle East for Arabian Travel Market, Business Traveller Middle East is preparing to announce the winners of its annual Awards at a charity gala dinner on May 2nd at the Godolphin Ballroom, Emirates Towers.

For four months, readers of Business Traveller Middle East have been submitting votes for their favourite airlines, airports, business hotels, leisure hotels, car rental companies and golf courses serving the region. Voted for by business travellers themselves, these Awards are an important and valuable accolade for the winners, recognising exceptional levels of quality and service.

This year, the Business Traveller Middle East Awards welcome two distinguished guests to present the Awards and address guests. Kate Adie is one of the world's most recognised journalists. As chief news reporter for the BBC, she became well-known for her broadcasts from war zones around the globe including the first Gulf War, Yugoslavia and Rwanda. She received the OBE in 1993. Michael McGrath is the first disabled person ever to conquer both the North and South poles. Despite suffering from Muscular Dystrophy, he has pushed himself to achieve goals often seen as beyond the capabilities of most able-bodied people.

The 2005 Awards are sponsored by FedEx.

Business Traveller magazine was launched in the UK in 1976 to cater for the international business traveller. One of six regional editions, Business Traveller Middle East is co-published by Motivate Publishing in Dubai and Euromoney in London. With a bi-monthly circulation of 25,000, Business Traveller Middle East is the market-leading information source for all frequent travellers based in the region.
