Attracting investment opportunities in Turkey

Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) is organizing, Sharjah's participating, the Turkish Arab Economic Forum, which is going to be held in Istanbul from 5 to 6 May 2005.
Sharjah's participation at the Turkish Arab Economic Forum reflects the Emirate's dedication to encouraging investments and developing means of cooperation and coordination to find effective solutions for regional economies in order to cope with the recent developments witnessed at the regional and international levels.
Participating as a Platinum Sponsor, is a testimony to the forum's important economic development role and its ability to accelerate economic growth, especially in light of the region's present special political and economic circumstances.
It is expected that the Turkish Arab Economic Forum, will witness a qualitative approach in the form of expanded opportunities for direct dialogue between Arab - Turkish Governments representatives and top officials and participants in the conference. The objective is to reach common and mutual solutions for issues concerned with the investment environments and outstanding economic issues.
The Sharjah delegation will also concentrate on the development of investment sectors, where H.E Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi will present an agenda highlighting the benefits of investment opportunities in Sharjah and the methods of encouraging Arab and Turkish investments.
Commenting on Sharjah's participation in this conference Mr. Mohamed A. Al Noman, SCTDA Director stated: "There is no doubt that we in Sharjah are fully aware of the trends and contradictions imposed by the variables of a changing world economy which is heading towards globalization and international economic reforms. We also believe that the time has come to openly discuss issues aimed at promoting investment opportunities, developing an appropriate open economic policy, and ways of removing all the obstacles and barriers that hinder the realization of a modern Arab economy in line with the global trends".
