Gold drops on stronger dollar

Gold prices dipped sharply from $436 an ounce to $429 yesterday as the dollar regained its lost strength. The greenback ended trading at $1.2844, despite comments from the world's second richest man Warren Buffett that he was maintaining a $21bn bet against the dollar.
