ADU hosts reception for United States Ambassador

The University of Abu Dhabi (ADU) hosted a reception at the Officers' Club for the Honorable Michele Sisson, United States Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates this week.
The Ambassador and a large contingent of staff from the American Embassy were welcomed by H.E. Ali S. Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of ADU's Executive Board of Governors. Mr. Bin Harmal said, "It is a pleasure to have a seasoned career diplomat based here in the UAE capital, and a great learning opportunity for ADU. We thank you for taking time to meet and greet members of the university community."
Ambassador Sisson gave a presentation to the ADU gathering and visiting dignitaries, commenting favorably on the advances taking place in higher education in the UAE. She also mentioned her pleasure at seeing so many female students benefiting from the opportunities being made available by ADU.
Most recently posted in Pakistan, Ambassador Sisson became the United States Ambassador to the UAE last summer after having served at a number of diplomatic missions internationally.

ABOUT ADUThe University of Abu Dhabi was chartered in 2000 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and President of the University Board of Trustees & Governors, as an academic project that aspires to place the institution amongst the ranks of the best universities, both regionally and internationally.
