Algerian officials applaud Etisalat's vital role in the telecommunication industry

A Senior Algerian Delegation praised Etisalat's rapid growth as well as its remarkable achievements in the telecommunication industry.
The Algerian delegation was headed by Ghania Hawadriyah, Director General, Algerian Post Office and Itaf Horiyah, Head of Internet Unit at the Algerian Telecom as well as other officials from the telecommunication sector in Algeria.
Mrs. Hawadriyah said: " There is no doubt that Emirates Telecommunication Corporation has achieved a remarkable milestone in several fields including internet, multimedia, GSM services and networks due to its expertise and long term experience in this field."
Mrs. Hawadriya also praised Etisalat Academy's unique initiative with G77-ICWFD to implement e-learning in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. She confirmed the importance of seizing and utilizing this initiative to enhance e-learning penetration and provide regional professionals with unrivalled scientific knowledge and expertise.
"Our visit came as a result of intense communications to acquaint with the UAE experience and achievements in ITC, and internet in particular. Etisalat's leading rich knowledge in these fields is coupled with our interest in signing a MoU with e-Company, Etisalat's one-stop e-powerhouse Business Unit that provides Internet services and total ICT solutions and to cooperate in developing and upgrading Algerian internet infrastructure," said Mrs. Atf Houriya, General Manager of Algerian Telecom's Internet Unit.
Dr. Fares said: "The Algerian visit came to enhance the relation between Etisalat and the Algerian Telecom in order to exchange expertise. Etisalat Academy is willing to offer its consulting services and professional experience to the Algerian Telecom."
Abdullah Hachim briefed the delegation about e-Company services and expressed its plan to cooperate with the Algerian Telecom in the future.
