DSF-DSS Pavilion attracts crowds at Arabian Travel Market 2005

ATM, a major tourism event of the region is regularly visited by representatives of airlines, travel and tourism companies and government officials.

The DSF/DSS office is present in the Dubai pavilion organized by Dubai Tourism and Commercial Marketing in the ATM hall and the members of the Organising Committee in the company of the popular DSS Mascot Modhesh guide visitors by giving useful information about the two major tourism events of UAE. As part of the DSF and DSS promotional campaign, the DSS stand at the ATM showcases details about both the shopping festival events, highlighting Dubai as a tourism paradise.

"The Arabian Travel Market is a very good opportunity for all countries to participate and promote the tourism related events and activities happening in their countries. We at DSF and DSS have seized this opportunity to promote DSS and to inform people about the events and the new activities for this year," said Leila Suhail, Executive Project Director, DSS -2005. "Arabian Travel Market is a good opportunity to meet people from the media and travel industry and brief them more about DSS and DSF. It is also a good opportunity to meet people from different agencies from different countries to talk about their new events and preparations for the festivals and plan that they are handling. DSF and DSS stand offer information related to those big events and to give everyone all new things," she added. DSF and DSS office is present in this event with a special booth with the. "We have received many visitors from airlines companies, tourist and travel agencies, hotels and media people who want to know everything new about DSF and DSS, she added.

On the inaugural day of ATM itself the DSF/DSF stand could attract hundreds of visitors, including tour operators, hoteliers and airline representatives, and members of the media.. The travel mart is also attended by people from the media and tourism sectors.

The DSF, DSS team at the ATM stand presents a comprehensive overview of the two major tourism events in Dubai, showcasing the new promotional initiatives and innovative activities that are planned as part of this year's calendar. The experienced members of the organizing committee and other staff members are attending queries from various quarters about the forthcoming tourism events. They distribute literature on both the events and displaying various facets on the main constituents of the events.

Another attraction of the DSF/DSS stand is the presence of Modhesh, the mascot of DSS who cheers visitors and exhibitors alike by visiting various pavilions and interacting with guests from various parts of the world. Special Modhesh giveaways, which can be won by way of games, are also on offer at the main reception area of the ATM. Modhesh, a successful cartoon character with unique features, is omnipresent in the ATM hall and visitors would not miss his presence with the cheerful smile.

The ten week DSS 2005 begins with the Flower Surprises on June 22 and continues with the Sweets Surprises, Arts Surprises, Colour Surprises, Ice Surprises, Adventure Surprises, Cartoon Surprises, Heritage Surprises, Knowledge Surprises and concludes with the Back-2-School Surprises on September 2.
