The loyalty programme will enable Sabre Connected agencies in the region to accumulate reward points when making air bookings through the Sabre global distribution system (GDS). The programme will apply to all airlines and for all rates.

This is Sabre Travel Network Middle East's first loyalty programme in the region. Daniel Naoumovitch, the company's acting CEO, said: "We are very excited to be launching this initiative which we feel will demonstrate our commitment and appreciation to our loyal customers".

David Battiston, general manager of rewards management Middle East, said: "We are delighted Sabre Travel Network Middle East are joining the Air Miles programme. Reward programmes such as these are an important part of business today, and I am confident that this one will be an outstanding success."

Travel agents will also be able to collect Air Miles that can be redeemed for products from over 100 retail companies.

Travel agents will be able to register with the programme online through the AIR MILES website. Customers with an existing Air Miles card will be able to accumulate points earned through their bookings to their account by updating the necessary details on the website.

A series of road shows throughout the region will follow, to offer Sabre customers the opportunity to find out more about the programme.
