Bin Sulayem launches Cyprus tourist office

The Director General of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Mr. Khalid bin A Sulayem and Chairman of the Cyprus Tourism Organization Mr. Photis Photiou officially launched a tourist office of the Cyprus Tourism Organization for the Middle East and the Gulf region at the recently concluded Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2005).

It was attended by senior DTCM officials and the Commercial Consular of Cyprus in Dubai Mr. Yusuf Al Jundi among others.

According to Mr. Photiou, " This is the first tourist office for Cyprus in the Middle East and the Gulf region and Dubai was carefully selected from the rest of the countries in the Middle East as we believe it is the ideal place."
Mr. Al Jundi said: "We expect that with the opening of this office, there will be an increase in the number of tourists from the Gulf region and the Middle East to Cyprus besides leading to greater cooperation between Dubai and Cyprus."

Mr. bin Sulayem praised this step and thanked Mr. Photiou for selecting Dubai for the opening of the office. He also affirmed the DTCM's complete support to them.

Mr. bin Sulayem also received Mr. Srdjan Sreckovic, Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism & Services Trade, Prices and Service Sector of the Republic of Serbia in the majlis of the DTCM stand during the ATM.
Mr. Sreckovic praised DTCM's efforts to promote Dubai all over the world.
