  • PRESS RELEASE

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has recently participated in the Kuwait International Travel & Tourism Exhibition 2005.

This was DTCM's second participation in the event which took place in Kuwait from April 26 to 29, 2005.

The DTCM Officer Overseas Promotions, Mr. Khalid bin Nasser represented the department.
DTCM's participation was the outcome of the growing popularity of Dubai as a preferred destination in Kuwait and to maintain this level of interest in the Kuwaiti market.

During the event, DTCM officials met with local tour operators and travel agencies who were interested in featuring the emirate in their programs and selling packages to Dubai and provided them detailed information on the tourism facilities and key attractions in Dubai.

The Dubai team comprised 11 co-participants which included Dubai hotels and apartments and Dubai-based travel and tour operators.
The event which attracted 120 exhibitors and 45,000 visitors is scheduled to be held on May 7 and 8 next year.
