Showtime wins 3 major production awards

Showtime, the region's premier pay TV network, has won 3 awards in 2 categories at this week's professional broadcast industry event, PROMAX & BDA Arabia, the Oscars of the world of TV production and electronic media.

The awards were part of a major conference that seeks to showcase creative excellence in the production of promotional slots used by satellite and terrestrial TV channels. The event took place this week for the first time in the Middle East region held at Dubai's Emirates Towers Hotel.

Showtime's creative talents were rewarded with two Gold Awards and one Silver in two categories. Their first Gold was awarded in the Best Editing category for their Fear.com / Fright Night promotion. The network then received both Gold and Silver awards in the Best TV Image Promotion, the Gold in support of their Movietime channel and the Silver for Showtime's own viewer promotional slots.

"We are thrilled with these awards as they are a great endorsement of Showtime's ability to produce and present content with the very highest production values and creativity," said Peter Van Zoelen, Director of On Air Promotions.
PROMAX & BDA has over 4,000 member companies and individuals drawn from more than 65 countries, and with conferences taking place in Europe, USA, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America and the UK.
