Channel 729 supports IIFA Awards

The IIFA Weekend will be held from June 9 to 11, 2005 culminating with the glittering IIFA Awards Ceremony on June 11, 2005 at the splendid Amsterdam ArenA Stadium. The IIFA Awards is the only award function that gives the entire film industry a chance to vote for, nominations which make it a truly global and credible Awards function

Channel 729 is also supporting IIFA in association with ME bank in Dubai for the promotion where 10 lucky winners will get to fly to Amsterdam to meet with the big stars and witness the awards ceremony. All one needs to do is watch channel 729 and answer the questions in between each programme.

A 45- minute programme on Amsterdam IIFA awards as well as an exclusive interview with the King of Indian Cinema Amitabh Bachchan will be aired next week on Channel729.

Following his meeting with the IIFA Brand ambassador Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, the Chairman of Channel 729 Mr. Ajay Sethi said," It's our pleasure to help promote the awards through our channel across the UAE. It is we, as fans of Indian cinema who need to promote our talented actors and the Indian Film academy abroad. Mr. Sethi also spoke about the Indian film industries presence at the Dubai Film Festival.

Channel 729 is the first local Hindi channel in the region, and has recently shifted its focus to locally interactive programming with a whole new series of programmes.
