- PRESS RELEASE
The region's largest ever trade fair for the domestic appliances and home technology industry opens its doors on Sunday 15th May at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
"Exhibitors from 16 countries will be participating at this year's event, presenting the latest products to an anticipated audience of over 17,000 trade visitors, consisting of property developers, interior designers, architects and retail buyers," stated Geoff Dickinson, Managing Partner of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. A combination of consumer demand for the best and the latest, along with a need from architects, developers and retailers to satisfy ever increasing expectations, makes Hometech Middle East a "must see" event for all professionals.
One of the many eye catching displays on show at Hometech is presented by exclusive kitchen furniture and appliances manufacturers, Miele. Their business was set up over 106 years ago in 1899 by founders Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann on the strength of their commitment to producing superior quality and innovative kitchens and high quality home appliances, something which visitors will see first hand at the show.
Miele were not only one of the world's first companies to develop home appliances, but they went on to score a number of important firsts in the field of home technology. In 1900 they created the first wooden tub washing machine, in 1929 they launched Europe's first electrically driven domestic dishwasher and in 1978 they created the world's first computer-controlled washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers with touch sensor controls.
Mr Saruat Risk, Managing Director of Miele Middle East stated, "This is another first for us in deciding to take part in the Hometech Middle East Exhibition. We see this as a very important event in the trade fairs calendar in which leading home technology manufacturers can show the best and latest in kitchen appliances and furniture".
Other major international manufactures are a regular feature of the show and include companies like General Electric, Olympic Group, Zass Germany, Libherr Germany, BMI Bertoli, Electrostar, Palson, Teka Kuechentechnik, Bosch and Siemens.
The show will be offering a wide variety of activities including live cooking stations on the Olympic Group and Teka Kuechentechnik stands, presentations and product launches. One of the most exciting new devices is presented by the TCL Corp, a five in one mobile remote control handset equipped with color display, an integrated camera, video capability, email and WAP. Others include the latest stainless steel refrigerators from General Electric, exclusive styling iron devices from Siemens, the Media Décor motorized art frame for concealing plasma displays from Intelligent Homes, the Instant Steam system, the first of its kind in the world from Amptek.
A fully equipped presentation theatre will be used to stage workshops and product launches. Hometech Middle East has created an informative programme of presentations by leading brand name suppliers of home technology showcasing the latest trends and products. These will include presentations by Better Life, the award winning distributor for brands such as Zanussi, Fisher and Paykel, and Admiral who will both reveal their latest innovations.
In addition, Dr. Jordan Samhuri from Sensio Middle East will be demonstrating their new 3D home cinema system - a breakthrough in technology that makes stereoscopic 3D viewing at home possible. Dr Samhuri will be explaining the concept of 3D and how this system will transform home entertainment.
Hometech Middle East will be supported by several trade associations including, the Iranian Appliance Council, China Chamber of Commerce, Koftra, the Turkish Government, German Exporters Association and the Egyptian Exporters Association.
