Yusr Sultan, Chief Executive, Shipping, Terminalling & LPG, ENOC, said: "As the Energy Partner of Choice, ENOC leads the way in promoting environmental protection, health and safety in all its operations.

"We are committed to ensuring that all our partners and contractors meet the high HSE standards we set. Emgas, as the leading gas supplier for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, has commissioned central gas networks for multiple users in major construction projects and the event allowed us to outline aspects in safe design, installation and management practices in LP Gas systems to a wide audience."

The programme was organised by Parsons Brinckerhoff, Middle East, one of the consultants for infrastructure development at The Palm, Jumeirah, and supported by Emirates Safety Group - of which Emgas is a parent member. Over 3000 HSE professionals including site managers, consultants and workmen were trained during the HSE week.

The event included a one-day international conference on Safety Leadership with four leading international speakers, including Hesham Ali Mustafa, Business Development & Projects Manager, Emgas.

He presented a paper entitled 'Safety Leadership through Management Commitment' and outlined various facets of Emgas HSE policy and its implementation through dynamic HSE objectives.

The event also involved the clean- up of over 16 km of beachfront to bring about awareness on the environmental cause.
