- PRESS RELEASE
Already a must have accessory on the Hollywood red carpet, Motorola's (NYSE: MOT) special-edition black RAZR V3, is now available in the Middle East.
The RAZR V3 is made almost entirely of metal including aircraft grade aluminium, magnesium and a first-of-its-kind nickel-plated copper alloy keypad. At only 13.9 mm thin, 53 mm wide (the width of a credit card) and 98 mm long, it is one of the slimmest phones on the market yet still rich in functions.
Its feature set includes a built in camera with digital zoom, mpeg video player, speaker phone and quad-band technology which allows the phone to work in over 100 countries*. The V3 also features picture caller ID** and works with Bluetooth® wireless technology which can allow voice, image and video to be easily transmitted without wires.
"Our discerning clientele in the Middle East has acknowledged the superior form and functionality of the Motorola RAZR V3, which continues to be a top seller across the region. Since being showcased at the recent Oscars ceremony, the region's mobile-centric community has been eagerly awaiting the launch of the stealth-like, all black version of this coveted phone and we are pleased to announce that the wait is over," said Patrick Mulligan, Motorola area director for the Mobile Devices Business.
The region is anticipating an unprecedented spike in demand for mobile phones with current market research indicating an annual growth rate of over 25 percent in mobile phone subscriptions in the Middle East.
"The launch of the black RAZR V3 complements Motorola's growth strategy in the region focused on capturing a significant share of the burgeoning mobile phone market by offering a phone that is unparalleled in good looks and delivers the ultimate in revolutionary innovation," Mulligan added.
The stunning and stylish RAZR V3 beat off some very stiff competition to win most innovative product at the prestigious Mobile News Awards 2005 in London recently.
Mobile News is one of the UK's leading mobile magazines and the awards are now in their eleventh year. This year's panel of judges was a hand picked collection of respected dealers, industry veterans and other mobile industry specialists.
